Uniforms and Name Tags

People wear nametags and uniforms more often than you think.

Many retail businesses require nametags and uniforms for several purposes. Sometimes it’s for security. Many times nametags are solely for identification. But simply stated; people wear uniforms and nametags for one reason: So people can identify who is an employee and so other people can use their names for friendlier, more personable service and conversation.

However, too many nametags go unnoticed. Too many people (especially employees) offer their names only to be referred to as, “Sir” or “Miss” or “Young Man.” Why, because they are poorly designed can can't easily be read.

People don’t wear nametags and uniforms to make a fashion statement. They wear them for you! To provide better customer service. They wear them so you will use and remember their names. And uniforms to feel secure you are dealing with some in authority.

At networking meetings people will wear nametags so the introduction process is speeded up. They will wear logowear to identify their company name.

Keep in mind that a person’s name is the sweetest sound they will hear. Use their names, and they'll  feel appreciated, welcome and important.

Think about adding nametags and uniforms to help your employees sell more of your products, services and ideas. Also while you are here, you would be smart adding them to your marketing plans too.
