I’ve tried “marketing” my business before and didn’t see much of a return on my investment. Why should I try again now?

How much should I budget for Marketing?

A typical marketing budget is a minimum of 5% of your annual sales but can vary widely depending on what stage your business is in. A new business or a business launching a new product or service may spend half of their of revenue or more on marketing for a short period of time.  The key is to have a plan so that you maximize the impact of the resources you do have.

I'm having problems login into my membership account, what should I do?

When you log in to Fast Marketing Plan, you will be able to change your password to by going to "Manage Your Account." 

If you are having trouble logging in, here are some tips: 

1. The login is cAsE sEnSiTiVe (case sensitive).  Please make  sure your Capslock is off and you pay attention to UPPER and lower case characters. 

2. Sometimes a "zero" and the letter "o" are confused.  If you have either of those in your username or password, please check to make sure you are entering the correct character. Also, sometimes confused characters are capital "I" (capital i) and "l" (lower case L) and the number 1 (one). 

3. If copying and pasting your log in details, make sure that there are no spaces included before or after the text you've highlighted.  An extra space will be registered by the system as an another "character" and therefore generate a login error.

How can I learn about all of the tactics included in gives you two ways to research marketing tactics.

You can read descriptions of the categories and tactics by clicking on the “Planning Ideas” button in our left menu then selecting one of the eight marketing tactic categories. Below the category description, you’ll find an alphabetical listing of all the tactics in that category.

You can also read the descriptions of individual tactics as you create your marketing plan. When you choose a tactic in the “Add a Tactic” box, a complete description of that tactic and how it can be used will be displayed in the right side.

How do I get started creating my marketing plan?  

After joining, simply click on the “Fast Start Plan” or “Start New Plan” icon in the left column of the Member Area. Give your plan a new name, enter your budget and start adding tactics. Click “Save Plan” at the bottom of the page to save your plan.

How do I add a marketing tactic to my plan?

Simply choose a category and a tactic from the dropdown boxes in the “Add Tactic” section of the planning tool. Choose the type of tactic – one time, daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly – choose the start date, number of repeats and budget per occurrence, then click on “Add Tactic”. The tactic will then be added to the overall marketing plan.

How can I quickly add marketing tactics that I repeat on a weekly or monthly basis?  

When adding a tactic to your plan, you have the option of making that task a one-time event or repeating it on a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. When you set the budget for that tactic, will use that amount for each time that the tactic is utilized. So, if you place an ad once a month for 6 months at a cost of $200 per ad, you choose “Monthly”, enter the start date, enter 6 for the number of repeats and enter $200 for the budget. A total of $1200 (6 x $200) will be added to your marketing plan’s grand total.

How can select or change the date of marketing tactics that repeat on a weekly or monthly basis?  

For now, you only have the option of selecting the start date and selecting if that tactic is a one-time event or repeating it on a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. For repeating events, the future dates are calculated based on the starting date. The way to select a specific date for a tactic is by selecting the "One Time" option and choosing your starting date.

How do I edit or delete a tactic that I have entered into my plan?

When viewing the marketing plan, edit a tactic by clicking on the arrow to the left of the tactic name. That tactic will then be shown in the “Add a Tactic” section where you can edit the type, budget and repeats for that tactic. Clicking on the “X” to the right of the tactic will delete it from your plan.

How can I print my marketing plan?  

To print your marketing plan, enter the Member Area of the site and click on “Show All” under “My Marketing Plans” at the bottom of the right column. Click on the printer icon to the right of the plan you would like to print in order to create a printer friendly version of the plan. If you want to print your calendar in full color please check that you have print background colors selected in your browser print options.

Can I export my marketing plan to Microsoft Word or Excel? 

If your membership includes the premium print upgrade for, you will have the ability to export your marketing plan to Word or Excel. When viewing the list of all plans, simply click the “export” icon to the left of the plan name and choose which format you prefer. MS Word  Microsoft Word, MS Excel , e-Calendar .   If you are already a member of and would like to add the premium print upgrade, please contact us to upgrade your membership.

How do I change the credit card associated with my account?

For your safety and security, we DO NOT store your credit card information anywhere on the Fast Marketing Plan Website or the Fast Marketing Plan Database. Your credit card information is stored in the secure database.  If your credit card information changes during any billing cycle and your payment can’t be processes, you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to update your information. It will say:

To ensure your service is uninterrupted, please click on the link below to renew your service immediately: 
"RENEW NOW" Or Update your personal Profile "UPDATE PERSONAL SETTING"

Simply Click on the "RENEW NOW" or "UPDATE PERSONAL SETTING" and you'll be taken to your account where you can update any of your credit card info. If you run into any problems updating your information, e-mail or call me at 248-335-8766.

How do I change my account settings?

To change your Fast Marketing Plan account settings, Login to visit the Member Profile section. This is where you can change your e-mail address and password, set e-mail preferences and set-up membership auto-renewal to ensure that you will always have access to your marketing plan information.

My colleague that uses receives tips and reminders via email. I’m not getting those. What do I need to do to sign up for emails? Monday Morning Reminder emails are a great way to stay on top of your marketing tasks. To change your email preferences, login to the site and go to your member area. In the Email Preferences section, you can choose to receive or not receive emails and whether you prefer text or HTML-based emails. This is also where you can change your contact information if your email address has changed. Be sure to put on your email system’s whitelist so that you receive emails from us.

I was a member of, but let my membership expire. Can I retrieve the marketing plans that I created previously?  

We store member data for 90 days after membership expiration to give users the opportunity to renew their memberships if they expired in error. To retrieve your marketing plan information, simply renew your membership under the same username and password within 90 days and all of your data will be maintained.  If your membership has been expired for more than 90 days, you will not be able to retrieve previously entered marketing plans.

How can I view my marketing plan as a 12-month calendar?  
Simply select the e-calendar output option and download the e-calendar file. Next, import your calendar data file into your favorite calendar program. Finally, view your marketing plan calendar any way you choose. Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly from within your calendar program.

Can I cancel my membership at anytime?
Yes. All you need to do is call me at 1-248-335-8080 or e-mail me as Sandy@

Can I get a refund of my membership?
Yes, you can refund within 90fast days of your original membership - no questions asked.
Now, if you've been a member for longer than 60 days, and feel you have not got the value you expected from, I don't want or deserve your money. Simply e-mail me here with your request, I'll look up what you've paid and send you a full refund check - However, I will ask you why so I can learn how to improve the site.
