Here is an example of how one company used comedy to bring their suppliers and clients together in an educational environment.

While it is not uncommon for a company to host an event and bring in a speaker to improve relations and motivate the team, it is slightly unusual when the speaker is a stand-up comedian (with a message). This company even briefed the comedian well in advance on personalities of certain individuals who would be attending who could take a joke and laugh at themselves – team members, suppliers and customers alike.

It was a hit and everyone loved it. In fact, this company team even spoofed a popular TV game show using unsuspecting attendees as contestants, then ended the event with a short film they produced that used comedy to promote customer service.

It was all well done and professional, yet very entertaining. Most of all, it was memorable.
