Blogging

Blogging is the verb (action word) that has been coined by people to refer to the act of adding an entry or entries to a blog (see blog).

Blogging is simply another method of internet marketing for offline businesses, where the blog is used not only for communication purposes, but also for building a community. It is possible to build a mailing list using a blog, and invite comments from readers for the blogs posted.

Those that actively engage in blogging write entries almost hourly, but there is no rule for how often a blog entry must be added. It is entirely up to the individual. My recommendation, post daily so the search engines can pick up new content everyday.

For the past 3 years, blogging and advertising has virtually combined together. It is indeed very common for blogs to bear their own advertisements either to financially benefit the blogger or to help promote the blogger's favorite topics. In fact, the popularity of blogs has also given rise to so-called fake blogs in which a company will engineer a fictional blog as a marketing tool to endorse a product.

Blogging provide a place of discussions or news on a particular subject; while others function as more personal online journals.

A typical blog has a combination of text, images, and links to other fellow blog members, Web pages, and other media related to the topic. The ability for readers to leave comments which represents their thoughts in an interactive format plays an important role of many blogs.

Most blogs are mainly textual, although some focus on art (artlog) with graphics, photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos entries (vlog), music (MP3 blog), and audio broadcasting (podcasting)

With a blog, it is possible to generate a worldwide audience for an offline business. You'll need to spend a sizable amount  getting information about your services, products and ides  to people, all this is done for free with the help of a blog.

Brainstorm blogging and decide if you should add it to your advertising and marketing plans. Blogging could be a great addition to your internet marketing.
